How I Curate My Closet for a Beachy Boho Look
There’s something about coastal living that makes you want to toss the rules aside and just flow — with the tide, with the music, and with your wardrobe.
Over the years, I’ve found myself drawn to pieces that feel free, look effortless, and echo the colors of the coast: sun-faded pinks, ocean blues, earthy neutrals, and vibrant prints that wouldn’t feel out of place at a festival or a lazy Sunday at the beach. That’s where my love of the beachy boho look was born — and how I began curating my closet around it.
It Starts with the Vibe
For me, “beachy boho” isn’t just about fashion — it’s a feeling. It’s San Diego mornings with a Yerba Mate on the sand, all my favorite reggae bands on shuffle, and that slightly salty breeze that makes everything better. I gravitate toward clothes that match that rhythm — think flowy fabrics, natural textures, and vintage-inspired prints that tell a story.
What I Look For
When I shop — especially for resale and vintage — I’m hunting for:
- Comfy silhouettes – maxi dresses, palazzo pants, oversized tunics
- Natural fibers – cotton, linen, gauze, crochet, and breathable knits
- Earth tones + pops of color – sand, ivory, rust, teal, and the occasional psychedelic swirl
- Unique details – embroidery, fringe, tie-dye, patchwork, or a killer graphic tee
Everything I choose has to move, breathe, and belong — to the coast, the music, and my lifestyle.
Curating the Closet on Poshmark
When I list items on my Poshmark closet, I’m pulling pieces that I’ve personally bought, and loved — or would wear in a heartbeat. It’s a mix of vintage treasures, festival favorites, and modern boho finds that didn’t make the final cut for my own rotation but still deserve a second life.
Some current faves in the shop:

Tommy Bahama you cannot go wrong with. This brand really defines all things coastal. This turquois green skort is perfect for picnics, brunch or wearing for a great golf match and the color goes great with almost anything.

What’s not to love about these Stuart Weitzman sandals? The turquois and green jeweled details set against a white floral brocade pattern, pair perfectly with jeans for a casual look or can be worn to upscale formal events such as a wedding.

Graphic print Trina Turk tank top really captures the coastal vibe. This print is feminine yet bold and pairs great with your favorite capri pants and high heeled sandals.

Tommy Bahama island print bikini top is a great addition to pair with solid bikini bottoms. Whether you are on the pacific or carribean, you cannot go wrong with this multi colored island print.
These are the pieces that build the foundation of a laid-back, expressive wardrobe — no matter where you live.
Want the Look?
You don’t need to overhaul your closet to get the beachy boho vibe. Try mixing in one flowy piece, a pair of statement earrings, or even a beachy throw you can wear, toss on your bed, or bring to your next concert.
